Nelson Jazz Club Big Band

A regular feature of the Christchurch Big Band Festival, the Nelson Jazz Club Big Band has been entertaining crowds around Nelson and Tasman for over 40 years. The repertoire ranges from the classics of the 1930s and 40s through to arrangements of rock and popular music from the last thirty years.
The Musical Director is Graeme Nicholas. The band serves as a community band. Its membership has consistently included some of the best jazz musicians in Nelson and includes outstanding players spanning from teenagers to those in their senior years. The combination of talent and musical experience creates a great sound that brings the dance floor alive.
